Hills Prescription Diet Canine C/D is a specially formulated dog food for the nutritional management of dogs with urinary tract problems. Urinary tract disease is associated with the build-up of struvite or calcium phosphate crystals and stones in the urine (bladder stones) which can be very painful and cause bloody urination and potential blockage in your dog. Hills Prescription Diet urinary dog food helps reduce the recurrence of stones (and high levels of antioxidants help to neutralise free radicals). Great tasting and available as both wet and dry food.

Recommeded for

Struvite uroliths and calcium phosphate uroliths (reduction of occurrence or recurrence)

Not recommended for

Cats

Puppies

Pregnant or lactating females

Dogs concurrently receiving urinary acidifiers

Dogs with : non on-struvite urolithiasis, hyperlipidaemia or pancreatitis (or a history of, or at risk of, pancreatitis)

Additional Information

Monitor the urine.

Eliminate urinary tract infection (infection with urease-producing organisms will result in a high urinary pH which will compromise efficacy)

For obesity-prone dogs:
